Job Title: Quantity Surveyor / Estimator

Location: Enfield - London

Salary: £20k - £80k (depending on experience)

Employment Type: Full-time

Company: A well-established brickwork contractor with a strong reputation for delivering residential and commercial projects across London & the South East.

They are seeking a motivated Quantity Surveyor/Estimator to join their team, with opportunities available for candidates at all levels – from trainees to experienced professionals.

About the Role:

As a Quantity Surveyor / Estimator, you will play a critical role in ensuring the financial and operational success of brickwork projects, working closely with decision-makers and directors.

This position offers excellent career progression, with opportunities to move into senior roles over time.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Cost Analysis & Estimating:
    • Prepare detailed bills of quantities and accurate cost estimates for brickwork projects.
    • Conduct cost value reconciliation and maintain accurate financial records throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Project Communication:
    • Collaborate with project managers, site teams, and contractors to understand project requirements and ensure cost-effective delivery.
    • Attend site visits to assess progress and evaluate potential cost variations.
  • Reporting & Documentation:
    • Provide regular financial updates and cost reports to management.
    • Ensure all project documentation, including contracts and estimates, is completed accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Flexible Approach:
    • My client is open to applications from all levels of experience, from trainees to senior roles, and offers comprehensive support and training for professional development.
Experience & Qualifications:
  • Essential:
    • Knowledge of brickwork materials and construction processes.
    • Previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Estimator within the construction or brickwork sector.
    • Proficiency in Bluebeam Revu and Microsoft Excel.
  • Desirable:
    • A degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field (for experienced candidates).
