We are looking for an Activities Coordinator to work in Beechwood Specialist Services, based in Cressington.

We are inclusive, creative and rewarding and our goal is to provide support to our residents to live their best life possible, whilst having fun.

The Activities Coordinator will create and handle the logistics for daily, weekly, and monthly events to engage service users in a fun and safe environment, whilst managing budget and feedback.

The **main purpose** of the role is:

- To help provide stimulating and interesting occupations for our resident group.
- To help support our residents to access the community and live their best life possible.
- To organise fun activities for all residents, that are varied each week and keep residents happy and smiling.
- Work, in conjunction with the Activity Lead to ensure the provision of person-centred activity throughout the week, across a variety of times.
- Assist in the assessment of residents to help develop activity plans with reference to developing new skills and enhancing old skills that have been lost or used infrequently.
- Work with the multi-disciplinary in the delivery of an activity programme for each resident.
- To promote the safety of residents undertaking any arranged activity: for example, with road safety, use of kitchen equipment such as ovens, hobs, knives, road safety, engagement with the public etc.
- Support resident to attend external activity/placements as identified by the Lead.
- Ideally the activity staff will have a clean driving licence and be willing to drive the Company vehicles for local journeys.

This is an exciting role that will further develop over time.

**Hours**:35 hours per week, working across 5 days, including weekends so flexibility is a must.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £9.60 per hour
