As a Stock Controller you will be an integral part of the team, this role is critical for the provision of all inventory management within the Pharmacy. You will be required to work Monday to Friday on a 40 hour per week contract. The role will be based at our Witham Branch.

**Key Responsibilities -**
- Receive stock from suppliers checking correct quantity and shelf life
- Book the stock in on the computerised booking system (Analyst). Ensuring that all items are booked in against the correct code.
- Report all delivery errors to the relevant supplier and arrange the return of any incorrect items.
- Check all build up orders are correct and only exact required items are ordered before sending them.
- Put away any split packs and ensure that the stock is arranged tidily on the shelves, Filling gaps where possible.
- Complete monthly date checking, remove and record any out-of-date items.
- Produce and use reports to monitor and improve stock control.
- Check and adjust the buying patterns for items dependent on changing demand.
- Complete regular stock counts to ensure stock levels are accurate.
- Ensure that all stock movements are correctly recorded.
- Report any out of stock items to the Pharmacy Stock Manager and monitor supply and to ensure you know when they become available.
- Report any over tariff items to the pharmacy stock controller and monitor prices including concessions.
- Where possible obtain alternative options to out of stock/over tariff items to ensure where possible prescriptions are fully fulfilled.
- Place specials orders finding the best available prices.
- Assist the pharmacy team with all stock related queries.
- Communicate with pharmacy team to ensure best practices are being followed with regards to stock control.

**About you -**
- You will have great attention to detail, processing accuracy, with excellent numerical skills, you'll have excellent organisation skills and be able to work to deadlines under minimum supervision
- You will have good interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate at all levels
- You will have demonstrable experience within a stock control environment, ideally within a Pharmacy
