Established over 50 years ago, S&S Distribution Limited is part of the wider Palletline group. Palletline delivers to 29 European countries from 96 UK depots. We deliver approximately five million pallets a day and have a combined fleet of over 6,000 vehicles.

We are now looking for a Customer Care Clerk to join our friendly and busy S&S Distribution depot in Tonbridge and support the business to continue to build upon their strong foundations of great customer service and operational excellence. With a key focus on forging long term partnerships with all customers being fundamental to the success of the business, the overriding objective is to provide reliable, trustworthy and cost-effective solutions to suit any requirement.

**The Role**:
The fundamentals of the role are to fulfil our customer needs through efficient and friendly communication and accurate and data processing. The role covers Monday to Friday.

**The position of Customer Care Clerk involves**:

- Day to day management of customer care, acting as first point of contact for any customer enquiries
- Promptly and efficiently answering incoming calls, identifying customer requirements & initiating appropriate solutions in a timely manner
- Maintaining the department's quality and customer service standards
- Support the driver and warehouse teams with any queries that may arise
- Support the invoicing and crediting functions within the depot to ensure that payments are up to date
- Liaise with customers who contact the depot to make relevant payments
- Support the office team with administrative tasks as needed
- Ability to build strong relationships with both clients and colleagues
- Possess transferable office-based skills or business to business customer service experience
- Confident IT skills, Excel/Word and in house/TMS software.
- Ability to multitask in a time efficient and professional manner.
- Team player, with a desire to get involved.
- Self-motivated, adaptable, and professional attitude.
- Excellent communication skills
- Punctual, organised, and methodical
- Confident and decisive under pressure with a strong desire to succeed

Pay: £24,000.00-£27,000.00 per year
