**We’re recruiting a Gardener to join our hardworking and established estates team.**

**This is a Permanent position working 40 hours per week.**

**About our Estate**:
Our award winning 45-acre estate consists of parklands, formal lawns, wetlands, Japanese garden, mixed borders, sports area, orchards, community allotments, woodland and ponds.

Our grounds play host to many species of wildlife - we actively encourage the wildlife that has made its home on our estate.

We take sustainability seriously
- from recycling across the village, using allotment-grown vegetables in the kitchen and supporting wildlife habitats on our estate, to the development of solar-powered properties in The Waterside, we have always championed eco-friendly living and are very proud of our record on sustainability.

Our estate is continuously evolving therefore we welcome ideas and inspiration to support all future developments.

**As a Gardener you will**:
Work under your own initiative, but still within a small estates team.

Ensure the upkeep, maintenance, development & presentation of the estate

Ensure the safe operation, maintenance and storage of all garden equipment and machinery from compact tractors, ride-on mowers, leaf blowers through to all other general hand-held gardening equipment and tools

Be involved in any specific and seasonal project work

Support any volunteers or residents in horticulturally based workshops and wildlife activities

Think creatively, suggesting new ideas and providing solutions

**Would I be right for the role?**

(PA1/PA6) and hard landscaping skills would be desirable

Are you passionate, enthusiastic and able to bring ideas to life within this role

Have you the “can do attitude” we’re looking for? Naturally self-motivated with excellent communication & team skills

**The Opportunity**:
Permanent contract

40 hours per week (Mon - Fri) *Occasional weekends/supporting events

Salary is negotiable depending on experience
