An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Gardener with traditional skills and extremely high standards to work on a 40 acre estate in Co Durham

The role will involve the management of the entire grounds & gardens, consisting of lawns, herbaceous borders, grazing paddocks, driveways and woodlands

Experience in managing a similar type of garden must be demonstrated together with strong traditional gardening skills and the ability to identify and care for a wide range of plants

A horticultural qualification would be an advantage and an energetic, self motivated and willing attitude is also essential

There is an opportunity (if applicable) for a partner to take on domestic duties in the main hall

There is also the opportunity to use the fishing rights that come within the estate grounds

Hours of work will be averaged out to 40 hrs per week

Adjusted for seasonality with more hours during the summer months and less during the winter months

The role is permanent

Holidays 28 per year including statutory

Own transport required

Nest pension

**Salary**: £22,000.00 per year
