Residential Estates Officer
37 hours per week Monday to Friday, 08:00 - 16:00 with some flexible working

Castle School is an area Special School serving 220 students with a range of complex learning needs across three sites within the Cambridge city boundary. As Estates Officer, you will report to the School Business Manager, helping to keep the school a safe, clean and engaging environment for our students to learn in. The role is residential and a detached 3-bedroom house with off-road parking, adjacent to the main school site, is provided at a subsidised rent for the purpose of carrying out the duties of the role.

You will be able to demonstrate a sound understanding of how to work safely in our school and excellent attention to detail. You will be calm and flexible in the face of changing priorities and be able to remain focused in a busy environment. Whilst experience in a special school or similar environment would be helpful in this role, it is not essential.

As a key holder you will share responsibility for securing the premises. Previous experience of key holding duties is not essential as training will be provided. However, you will be able to demonstrate that you are trustworthy, reliable and are able to work methodically to agreed procedures.
