Our client is seeking a small team of Housemen to work on their Estate in Oxfordshire.
The Houseman will be responsible for the heavy housework within the Estate and report to the Estate Services Manager. The position will be responsible for maintaining the highest quality cleaning services and ensuring that principals’ residences and all other properties meet the highest standards of cleanliness possible.
**Duties of the Housemen include, but are not limited to**:
- Maintain the cleanliness of the exterior structures within the property
- Maintain and clean windows throughout the property
- Maintain and clean all walkways, patios, and parking areas
- Clean, maintain and organize the Pool Deck and all furniture and umbrellas
- Maintain, clean, and sanitize bathrooms
- Maintain exterior furniture including pressure washing sanding and oiling
- Maintenance of clay tennis court
- Automobile and Golf Cart maintenance which includes washing, waxing, vacuuming, etc
- Responsible for ensuring all of the client’s vehicles are functional
- Maintain and clean lights and light fixtures throughout the property. Ensure that light bulbs are working and replace as needed
- Responsible for setting up, maintaining and breaking down of furniture during events
- Responsible for rubbish collection and removal
- Transportation of high-end furniture and priceless art between estates and warehouses
- Running company errands as needed
- Organization and cleanliness of warehouses
- Other duties as assigned by the Estate Services Manager
- Demonstrate good personal control and judgment under normal and stressful conditions
- Must possess a valid Driver’s License
- Personal vehicle use is required to travel between property locations. Mileage will be reimbursed
- Ability to be on-call
- Must be able to work flexible shifts of morning and evenings along with weekends and holidays
- Must have good organisational skills
- Ability to pressure washer and use industrial vacuum cleaners and blowers
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions
- Ability to recognize potentially dangerous and hazardous conditions
- Must be able to work independently and as part of a team
- Must be able to prioritize and handle multiple tasks demonstrating good time management
- Familiarity with cleaning standards
