SRM Electrical is an independent, family-owned electrical wholesaler and distributor, with over 24 years’ experience servicing the trade and public. Our 4 branches are located across the Midlands and Leicestershire area.

We are currently recruiting for an Internal Sales Assistant to join the team at our Thurmaston Branch, your role will include generating and increasing sales through serving our customers over the trade counter, as well as over the phone. You will be responsible for preparing customer quotations, warehouse duties, picking customer orders, goods in/ out and have a keen interest in meeting sales targets and working as a team.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Checking and loading deliveries onto the van
- Picking and confirming orders
- Maintaining a clean and tidy goods inwards area
- Processing goods inwards, putting stock away in the correct locations
- Serving customers and taking telephone calls
- Proactively contacting customers to achieve sales

**The Person**:

- Have a “can do” and positive attitude and be someone willing to learn
- Happy to work in a fast paced and professional environment
- You appreciate the importance of good customer service
- Good sense of humour
- Confident attitude towards sales and meeting targets
- Full driving licence essential.

The progression steps from Internal sales could include promotions to Assistant Manager, Account Manager with further progression to Branch Manager.
