You will have a key part to play in ensuring our supporters are looked after and help the team deliver a range of exciting campaigns and events.

Dementia Support is a young local Charity based in Tangmere and we have created the first ever ‘one stop shop’ for those living directly or indirectly with dementia. We deliver a wide range of vital services under one roof, providing the latest support, information, advice, activities, and care for those living with dementia.

**Responsibilities**
- This job description is a summary of the main responsibilities of the post and duties may change and vary from time to time to meet the needs of the charity and its customers. Responsibilities will include:

- Support the organisation of the fundraising office, through administrative tasks and respond efficiently and effectively to queries in a respectful and timely manner.
- Maintain accurate records across systems including the fundraising database to ensure they provide the data required by the fundraising team.
- Export data from our Customer Relationship Management System to produce lists and reports for the fundraising team to use.
- Support the coordination of events including venue booking, managing bookings, organising equipment, and event set up.
- Ensure and support the acknowledgement of all donations alongside the relevant Fundraising staff.
- Support the team with postal campaigns including data validation, mail merges, printing and posting.
- Coordinate volunteers to attend community events ensuring they have all the necessary information, equipment and materials they need
- Carry out research into fundraising prospects to support the Fundraising Team to reach more people
- Provide support to the Fundraising Administrator in the handling and recording of donations.
- Provide support outside of normal working hours for attendance at events.
- Work in line with the policies and procedures of Dementia Support, including maintaining confidentiality in relation to customers, staff and business sensitive information.
- Undertake any other duties commensurate with the role that may be required and are appropriate to the post, as requested by the Fundraising Relationships Manager, Head of Fundraising and Communications (or the Chief Executive in their absence).

**Knowledge & Skills**
- Confident with communication in all forms, including telephone, written and drop in callers.
- Good interpersonal skills in order to interact effectively with a range of people
- Good computer literacy skills, including Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Able to organise data and understand a database
- Excellent organisational and planning skills.
- Good attention to detail in all aspects of work e.g. maintaining records, grammar etc.
- Be able to work well in a team and on your own initiative.
- Be willing and able to work outside of normal hours as necessary.
- An understanding of fundraising would be an advantage.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: From £14,335.00 per year

Expected hours: 22.5 per week
