This job opportunity is brought to you by Dream Big, Travel Far (DBTF). They have recently launched their Gear By Orlaigh (GBO) YouTube channel which focuses on reviewing travel gear and related products. GBO co-exists with DBTF, with DBTF providing the written reviews and GBO the video reviews.

Work alongside gear review specialist, Orlaigh, who runs the GBO channel. You will work together to create content for GBO and DBTF.

We are looking for someone who is a team player, creative, and can take direction and constructive criticism whilst also taking their own initiative. We want someone who has a drive and personality that viewers will be attracted to. This role is not for the faint-hearted, you have to be able to speak in front of a camera and develop a fun way to connect with the audience.

Ideally, we are looking for an active person who enjoys traveling, has experience with travel products, gear and more.

**Who is this Job for?**

Someone keen to start working more for themselves and being a key part of creating a brand for the channel. Someone who is keen to share and create new ideas, and likes to take control and work on their own initiative. Most importantly, someone who wants to have fun while they work Doing a job that is fundamentally very enjoyable and has the potential to expand into something much more.

**Salary**:£10.50 per hour (This is a starting wage, and after 3 months, we can increase that to £12.50) then review after one year. This is a freelance position, therefore taxes are your own responsibility.

**Hours**:26 hours (part-time)

**Essential**

Female, ages between 21-33. English spoken. If there is an accent having the ability to dilute it for the channel

Lives in Glasgow, able to commute through the city

Access to a good quality phone camera

**Desirable characteristics**

Creative - Perhaps abackground in art, writing, photography, drama, dance, sports

Initiative - Someone who doesn’t need constant hand holding, but in fact thrives in an environment where they can create and suggest ideas

Confidence - Both in front of a camera, but also in sharing opinions and thoughts

Reliable - This will be a small team endeavour, and you will play a key role in that so will need to be relied upon

Capable writer -Experience writing blog posts or articles is desirable but not essential. Even more desirable if you have an understanding of basic SEO principles.

**Key tasks**

Research: including researching competitors, brands, and products.

Record 2 videos weekly, in your own space

Write a script for review for YouTube recording

Written review for the blog

Take short-form videos for Tiktok & Instagram

Co-working with Orlaigh to come up with new ways to engage with the community and create content for GBO

Take photos of the product for a written review

Taking photos for thumbnail

Recording overlays outside of your studio

**A Sample day in the life of this role**

Brand sends out product
- you review it-take videos of it in use
- you write your script for youtube-you take overlays for your video
- you take pictures of the product-you record video-you send recording to Orlaigh
- you write up a blog post for GBO

All of the above will be taught and broken down. However, we look for someone who can take that extra step to watch others, research, and be creative with it.

As part of the interview stages we require you to send in an audition tape. This can be shot on your phone or whatever you can do to get creative with it. (**Deadline 23/12/23**)

Find a product in your home such as a backpack, clothing, suitcase. I suggest something you know and can speak well about. Remember you’re not trying to sell this item, you are giving an honest review.

**I would advise having a look at the GearByOrlaigh youtube channel and studying the intro and outro**

Introduce yourself as if you’re on the GBO channel and present your product and give us three pros and three cons to this product & an outro

Does not have to be long, does not have to be perfect, anywhere from 2-5 minutes. We just want you to be creative with it and imagine you’re on GBO channel. AND **HAVE FUN** This is your chance to shine
