**Job Description: Purchasing and Stock Administrator**

Our client is the UK’s largest distributor to convenience retailers, based in the heart of Birmingham in a brand-new office on Bennetts Hill, minutes from transport links.

stores and major national retailers such as Morrison’s, Co-op, SPAR and more.

**Location: HYBRID between Birmingham City Centre (Head Offices) and Nearby Warehouse in Aston**

**Responsibilities**:
1. Stock Level Management:

- Analyse sales figures and lead times to create optimal stock level suggestions.
- Develop strategies for efficient stock holding across both the head offices and warehouse.

2. Warehouse Operations:

- Address and resolve stock-related queries in the warehouse.
- Assist the team with administration duties related to stock management.

3. Data Management:

- Maintain and update system data for accurate records.
- Ensure general housekeeping of data to streamline operations.

4. Ordering and Procurement:

- Support in the ordering process for stock replenishment.
- Proactively identify changes in demand, potential shortages, and supply problems.

5. Problem Resolution:

- Identify and resolve supply chain issues and supplier concerns promptly.
- Communicate issues to relevant staff and escalate when necessary.

6. Operational Meetings:

- Attend regular operational meetings to discuss stock levels, challenges, and provide solutions.
- Be prepared to provide detailed insights into stock-related matters.

7. Stock Review and Discontinuation:

- Review slow-moving stock and liaise with head office on items that can be discontinued or reduced.
- Experience working within a warehouse.
- Proficient in general office and administration skills, with expertise in Excel.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Confidence in dealing with face-to-face stock inquiries internally.
- Ability to multitask and collaborate with different departments.
- Independent, self-motivated, and a desire to grow within a purchasing-based role.

**Travel**:
The role requires spending 50% of the time at head offices in Birmingham City Centre and the remaining time at the nearby warehouse. Travel expenses/ Birmingham City Centre parking will
be covered.

**Salary** £24,000-£26,000

**Salary**: £24,000.00-£26,000.00 per year
