The main place of work is Greenbank, Greenbank Lane, Liverpool L17 1AG but all employees are required to be flexible in their approach to working conditions and expected to work at other sites when required.

**Job Purpose**:
To work as part of an Employability Support Team to establish and maintain employer links. You will enable Greenbank College to secure, develop and co-ordinate industry placements within local employers. To undertake placement H&S risk assessments and match Greenbank students to placement vacancies. Provide ongoing support for students whilst on placement and monitor and review their progress.

**Main Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Forge links with local employers, matched to Greenbank’s work related sectors. Manage and maintain a database of placement providers and work related opportunities available for Greenbank students.
- Develop and maintain links with employer forums / LEPs / Liverpool City Region and other strategic groups, to ensure that Greenbank can adhere to, develop and lead on best working practices.
- Work with Greenbank’s management and employability support team to ensure Greenbank’s employer engagement strategy reflects Liverpool City Region labour market trends and priorities.
- Maintain a database of local employers and monitor employer trends to inform the development of opportunities.
- Responsible for carrying out safeguarding and health & safety checks at employer premises for the purpose of student placements. Ensure placements matched to student needs and all statutory requirements for the placement are met.
- Responsible for setting up initial placement agreements; undertake regular reviews of student progress and record on Greenbank’s electronic files.
- Assist in the assessment and monitoring of industry placements linked to T Level qualifications/preparedness
- Liaise with internal colleagues and external partners, parents and carers, as required, to maximise the student’s placement outcome.
- Ensure the development and maintenance of processes and procedures which promote health, education and social life chances for students on placement.
- Undertake administrative duties, maintaining confidential records, monitor, review and evaluate work in line with quality standards and Greenbank’s policies and procedures.
- Comply with all of Greenbank’s policies and procedures and other legislative requirements.
- Work as part of a team, sharing resource development and promoting good practice; attend team and staff meetings as required.
- Assist with marketing, recruitment and enrolment/induction activities, including taster events and moving on events etc.
- To always adhere to Greenbank’s Safeguarding procedures.
- To ensure that Greenbank’s code of conduct is always adhered to.
- To attend training courses and continuing professional development as required.
