Job Purpose:
To ensure technical leadership to the Chassis & vehicle Dynamics team and to provide cross functional leadership in the development of AM Chassis.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

- Lead the day to day management of the Chassis System team.
- Lead component and system target QCD target setting, compatibility, and adherence.
- Complete Engineering reports required to support product release.
- Bill of Material and PLM data for all components and systems.
- Ensure all design manuals and testing procedure AMDS documents are appropriately created and maintained to ensure consistency and robust failure mode avoidance.
- Ensure all failure mode avoidance activities, commodity planning, design progression and DVP testing is completed to achieve Final Engineering sign off in line with timing constraints.
- Create Component development plan for Chassis Components of the Company
- Achieve business plan investment and piece cost targets.
- Manage the welfare and development of the group.

Qualification & Experience:

- Extensive experience in Chassis Engineering, Design and Development
- Proven leadership experience.
- Excellent knowledge of tolerance/variation, testing and development, Risk assessment process, FMEA, FUSA, problem solving, DFM & tooling principles, appreciation for VFM.
- Excellent mechanical engineering background and a comprehensive knowledge of Interior design and development.
- Working knowledge of AMPCS / MISSION or similar Product Creation Process.
- Experience of directly or indirectly leading purchasing, quality or manufacturing engineering teams.
- Vehicle & Environmental Simulation
- SIL, HIL, & Testbed testing & analysis and Objective Measurement
- Vehicle testing
- Engineering degree
- A degree in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or similar field
