This means we work closely as a collaborative team and spend a lot of our time looking at different areas of the Bank and analysing data, controls and processes to help our teams and businesses. You’ll represent the Group and work collaboratively across the Economic Crime sector to share insights, best practices and drive more effective ways of preventing, detecting, and mitigating economic crime.

**Job Description**:

- Leading the formulation, delivery and maintenance of the Group Economic Crime Prevention Policy and associated standards;
- Acting as a trusted partner to senior colleagues across all 3LOD, providing insightful and pragmatic advice, and constructive challenge to the business;
- Influencing key senior pan-divisional partners and the GEC, deputise for senior Economic Crime Prevention colleagues and actively contribute to broader ECP strategic planning and business decision-making by providing insight and thought leadership;
- Representing the Group, and the Group Director of ECP by working collaboratively with a variety of external partners to drive more effective ways of preventing, detecting, and mitigating economic crime;
- Maintaining the Group’s ECP risk assessment tools
- Owning and maintaining the Group ECP Oversight & Assurance methodology; and
- Owning and managing the entirety of the RMF Team’s workplan, deploying risk-based techniques to inform the development and prioritisation of the plan, and providing insight and analytics to scope the teams’ activity.

You'll also be responsible for:

- Leading teams, coaching, and nurturing talent;
- Deputising for senior leaders within ECP and interacting with the GEC and
- Delivering internal and external reporting requirements (such as the Annual MLRO Report, Group Consolidated Risk report for ECP), and preparing / presenting briefing papers for the Group’s senior leadership team;

What we're looking for:
This is a high-profile role within the ECP Risk Function and ideally you'll already possess:

- Proven leadership qualities and experience in building and inspiring a diverse, engaged, capable team.
- A solid understanding of what an effective risk management framework should look like and how it should operate;
- A strong technical background in relation to the legal and regulatory obligations for managing the risks associated with money laundering, terrorist financing, fraud, financial sanctions, bribery & corruption, and the facilitation of tax evasion;
- Significant working knowledge of EC related industry guidance.
- Be able to translate often complex regulatory requirements into practical, risk-based guidance in a commercially sensitive way;
- Be comfortable in challenging the business to support the enhancement of their EC risk control environment;

So what can we offer you in return

In return for your expertise, you'll enjoy our total dedication to your ongoing personal and professional development. We'll help you perform at your best today, so you can fulfil all your potential in the future.

We're committed to building a workforce which reflects the diversity of the customers and communities we serve, and to building an inclusive environment where all our colleagues can be themselves and succeed on merit. We support the principles of agile working and are happy to consider flexible working arrangements.

We're an equal opportunity employer and deeply value diversity within our organisation.
