Print Administrator/trainee Estimator

This is an excellent opportunity to learn the estimator role in an established local print firm. You would work alongside the Estimator/Office Manager supporting them in all Admin functions whilst learning the Estimator role which would enable you to be responsible for the production of estimates for a range of The Printing House products yourself. You would also be dealing with customer enquiries, documenting all of their requirements accurately so that jobs go through production smoothly.

On the job training will be delivered for all aspects of the role and all we ask of you is that you have a willingness to learn and progress.

**Dimension and Scope**:
The role will involve receiving briefs from members of staff and customers to create accurate estimates that offer solutions or alternative cost effective ideas to set deadlines.

**Key Accountabilities**:

- Production of estimates using MIS Software (Tharstern). Previous use of Tharstern is not compulsory but would be helpful
- Establish and maintain working relationships with customers
- Liaise with customers and members of staff to produce accurate estimates
- Ensure timely completion of estimates, meeting deadlines
- Ensure consistent and accurate output

**Critical skills and knowledge**:

- Commercial print estimating experience would be an advantage
- Good Communication skills both verbal and written is essential
- Attention to detail is essential
- Computer literacy is essential

A good level of numeracy is needed for this role
- A willingness to go and search for a solution is essential
- Initiative to get on with tasks and manage your own time and prioritisation
- Team working
- Ability to assimilate lots of information and to learn new skills

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £1.00-£2.00 per year

- GCSE or equivalent (required)

- Driving Licence (preferred)
