The key role of the Specialist Financial Team is to implement the requirements set out in the legislative framework created by The Care and Support (Charging and Assessment of Resources) Regulations 2014. As such, the role will offer advice and guidance on all Community Care financial matters, welfare benefits advice, information and advocacy to service users, their relatives and other professionals, for example social workers, community nurses etc.

**You will require**:

- Maths and English GCSE (Grade A-C)
- Experience of working in a financial administration setting involving welfare benefits processes (DWP, Housing Benefit, Council Tax etc).
- A high level of IT skills and the ability to adapt to new systems and procedures.
- The ability to adopt and actively contribute to a process of continuous improvement within the service.
- Experience of keeping detailed records, dealing with older people and people with disabilities and their carers, experience of working in a constantly changing environment, working to deadlines and acting on your own initiative.
