Torbay Coast & Countryside Trust (TCCT), is an independent charity dedicated to looking after the most important wildlife and heritage sites across the English Riviera in Torbay, South Devon. The
Trust’s ambitious £2 million investment plans for Occombe Farm include a farm animal attraction, indoor and outdoor play facilities, a large farm shop and catering outlets.
We are now looking to appoint a self-motivated Marketing & Communications Executive with outstanding creative and interpersonal skills to join our busy Marketing & Communications Department. You will support the delivery of the marketing and communications strategy and all marketing and communication campaigns across the marketing mix.
As Marketing and Communications Executive you will be responsible for:
- Supporting the delivery of the marketing and communications strategy and all marketing and communication campaigns extending across the marketing mix.
- Contributing to the PR strategy including writing and distributing news releases, liaising with the media and co-ordinating press enquiries and visits.
- Supporting the development and implementation of the fundraising strategy, including both corporates and individuals.
- Supporting the creation of all content in the form of copy writing, photography, filming and editing.
- Delivering regular reports on all PR, digital and fundraising activities including analysis and evaluation of KPI’s.
- Liaising with external partners and external design and digital agencies as and when required.
- Supporting the creation and distribution of all printed marketing materials.
- Contributing to the signage strategy and providing support with the creation and implementation of new signs.
- Assisting the team with all communication including responding to customer feedback, suggestions and complaints, through various platforms.
- Co-ordinating internal communication including regular news bulletins.
- Proactively supporting the promotion and marketing of all activities and initiatives as and when required.
- Contributing to a positive team environment with a flexible and problem-solving approach.
- Undertaking any other duties as directed by the Marketing Managers or Senior Leadership team.
What are we looking for?
- At least 3 years’ experience in a similar role.
- Previous experience working in the charity sector would be beneficial as well as experience working in the leisure and tourism industry.
- Campaign, project and budget management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- An enthusiastic, proactive and hands-on attitude.
- A great team player that is also confident working independently with mínimal supervision.
- A valid, full driving licence.
- A self-starter that is confident to build internal and external relations whilst within the office and off-site.
- A creative individual able to create content that is suitable for different audiences and platforms.
- An analytical mind able to devise reports, analyse and evaluate performance. GDPR knowledge an advantage.
- IT skills (Microsoft Office / Excel essential, Adobe InDesign, Photoshop or Illustrator is desirable).
- An articulate individual with great attention to detail.
- Strong organisational skills and able to multi-task and prioritise in a busy working environment ensuring tasks are delivered on-time and to budget.
