Talent Acquisition Specialist

Working within the People function, the Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for the attraction, engagement, sourcing, recruitment, induction and onboarding of top talent across the business.
This role is responsible for:
- all proactive and reactive recruitment and hiring across the business
- contributing to the development of strategic initiatives to develop long-term talent pipelines
all recruitment, induction and onboarding systems and processes
**Essential experience, skills and qualities**:
- **Work experience -**previous experience of working in a talent acquisition or internal recruitment role, gained within a fast-paced, growing business with a multi-disciplined employee population.
- **Full-cycle recruitment experience -** practical experience of the end-to-end recruitment, induction and on-boarding journey, using various sourcing and evaluation techniques, processes and systems.
- **Creative thinking & problem-solving -**ability to think creatively to develop innovative talent sourcing, attraction and engagement strategies, with demonstrable problem-solving skills to overcome obstacles and find new approaches.
- **Continuous improvement -** ability to continually critically review and evaluate processes, systems and ways of working, to drive improvements and efficiency.
- **Organisational skills -** excellent organisational and administrative skills, with a strong attention to detail.
- **Confidentiality & integrity -** ability to manage highly-confidential information with the utmost discretion, and act with integrity at all times.
- **Initiative -** can-do attitude, with the ability to work on own initiative, manage own workload and prioritise varied tasks and competing demands on time.
- **Resilience & tenacity - **highly resilient and tenacious with the ability to deal with ambiguity, overcome obstacles, and work with agility and pace to meet the high demands of the role.
- **Sourcing methods, tools & systems -** familiarity and practical experience of engaging with, and sourcing talent from, CV databases and platforms (LinkedIn, Indeed etc.), engagement and advertising platforms and social media, professional networking sites etc.
- **Self-motivation & growth mindset -** self-motivated with a proactive attitude, and the desire to develop both personally and professionally.
**Preferable experience, skills and qualities**:
- **Work experience -**previous experience of working in a talent acquisition or internal recruitment role within a highly technical industry, with varied, niche and specific role requirements.
- **International recruitment -**experience of recruiting for varied roles internationally, with specific focus on Continental Europe and Germany in particular.
**Strategic talent partnerships -** experience of developing and maintaining strategic talent partnerships with universities, further education institutions, schools, community groups, business networks etc., to nurture and source future talent pipelines.
**Primary responsibilities & accountabilities**:
Responsibility for the full sourcing, recruitment, induction and onboarding lifecycle, including:
- Developing innovative talent sourcing, attraction and engagement strategies
- Developing and promoting the Farrat Employer Brand, internally and externally
- Working with people managers and the People Director to identify recruitment requirements
- Working with the people manager to produce role profiles
- Conducting all sourcing and recruiting activities to fill open roles
- Making offers and arranging and sending associated paperwork for new hires, and maintaining proactive communication prior to their start date
- Liaising with the people manager to agree the induction and on-boarding plan, and scheduling and conducting identified elements with the wider People function
- Working with the People Operations team to conduct background and right-to-work checks
- Developing, maintaining and continually improving all relevant systems and databases
- Advising and supporting all people managers and colleagues on key talent acquisition processes and issues, dealing with queries across the whole recruitment, induction and on-boarding lifecycle to ensure an excellent customer service
Working with the People Director and wider People function to contribute to the development of the strategy, processes, policy and guidelines for:
- Talent benchmarking
- Talent engagement and sourcing
- Talent assessment and selection
- Talent induction and on-boarding
- Applicant Tracking and Talent Management systems
Supporting the People Director to develop the company’s long-term talent acquisition strategy, including:
- Performing strategic workforce planning, and analysis of organisational development, to anticipate future employment needs
