We are looking to appoint a Counsellor to join our team based at our James Watt College.

**Job Role**:
To provide therapeutic counselling for students (predominantly aged 16-19 but will also include adult students) on issues which may compromise their mental health such as abuse, eating disorders, self-harm, bereavement, depression, low self-esteem, breakdowns in family relationships etc.

Counsellors will be required to carry out counselling assessments for students and allocate them to the appropriate counsellor.

To ensure that counselling supervision is accessed and that annual and other management reports are produced as necessary. To ensure that an effective appointment system is in place and to keep a record of attendance, cancellations and missed appointments. To understand and respond to Safeguarding concerns, in line with college policy.
