Security Education and Awareness Team sits within Security & Data Protection, as part of the Security Policy and Central Services (SPCS) function.

**Job description**:
Security Education & Awareness is insight led and MI responsive to risk and threats, through a multi-disciplinary approach comprising of campaigns, e-learning, other behaviour changes products and interventions, and the advice services of the portal, chatbot and Security Advice Centre.

To lead the development and maintenance of security education and awareness to promote positive security behaviours across DWP and to our business partners.

**Responsibilities**
- Manage the delivery of SEA’s data driven strategy. Manage relationships across DWP to ensure that SEA has the security behaviour data so that our security education interventions are best targeted and prioritised.
- Lead the measurement of the effectiveness of SEA’s education interventions on enhancing security behaviour.
- Enhance our data practises by building our data sources and improving our reporting practises.
- Share your passion and expertise with the SEA team. Shape SEA’s love for and proficiency with data.
- Manage the creation and delivery of the SEA programme across DWP to quality, timescales, and budget.
- Manage the evaluation of compliance with the SEA elements of GovSec007 and the Security Assurance Framework
- Manage vendor and stakeholder relationships to ensure new technologies and products are embedded as business-as-usual activities with effective governance, budgetary management, evaluation, and compliance regimes in place as appropriate.
- Ensure appropriate collaboration with government to ensure DWP SEA utilises and shares best practice and to ensure value for money.
- Collaborate with and influence senior managers and other stakeholders across DWP business areas to gain buy in for SEA activities across DWP.
- Promote an environment of continuous improvement across the team.
- Manage the SEA team and additional contingent labour resource to ensure timely delivery of objectives to required standards in a supportive and inclusive environment.
- Evaluate Statements of Work and providing appropriate financial assurance of value for money and spend controls.

**Essential Criteria**
- Experience of collating, interpreting, and explaining Management Information.
- Experience in project management, including planning and time management, with the ability to manage and maintain a complex programme of initiatives over the longer term.
- Experience of communicating using a variety of channels such as visual, online/digital and/or physical media, with practical experience employing various techniques to target different, and a diverse range of, target audiences.

**Desirable Criteria**
- Certificate in Information Security Management Principles (CISMP)
