Pontypridd, United Kingdom University of South Wales Full time

**Senior Student Casework Officer**:
Job description

Academic Registry is looking to appoint a Senior Student Casework Officer. This is an exciting role, which is critical in ensuring our student casework is effectively managed and administered. You will be able to manage your own priorities and the priorities of other staff. You will also be required to advise colleagues at all levels of the University on related sector expectations, regulatory and legal requirements.

You will work in partnership with faculties, professional services departments, and other teams in Academic Registry in the delivery of services. You will also contribute to the dissemination of learning, provide development and training and work with the Head of Student Casework, the Principal Student Casework Officer and the team to enhance related regulations, procedures and operational practice.

We are seeking someone who has developed their skills and experience working in a related role, for example in an area such as customer complaints or case-handling. You will have excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to deliver work of a very high standard in a service area where attention to detail and managing challenging deadlines is critical.

You will have a positive attitude, a strong work ethic and be a committed team player, with the drive to continuously improve working practices.

Academic Registry is one of the University of South Wales’ (USW) professional service departments, delivering a range of key administration and information services for students throughout their studies, from enrolment to graduation. We also oversee the University's arrangements for academic quality assurance and enhancement and provide casework services for students.

This is a full-time permanent role. The University is currently operating a hybrid model of working; however, you will be expected to work on campus for part of the week. While the role will be based in Academic Registry at Pontypridd, you may also be required to work at the University’s other campuses at Cardiff and Newport.

Benefits on offer include 35 days’ annual leave plus bank holidays, a generous pension scheme and family friendly policies. A flexible approach to working hours may be necessary, with some work occasionally taking place outside normal office hours.

Our people are our most important resource. We aim to enable staff to develop careers within the Academic Registry and across the wider HE sector, offering developmental and career enhancing opportunities. We embrace the University’s Core Values and the Association of University Administrators ‘Professional Behaviours Framework’.
