**About The Role**

**Job Title**: _Restaurant Supervisor_

**Responsible to**: Restaurant Manager/_General Manager_ / Directors_

**Main Purpose**: _To greet and welcome prospective, current customers and residents of the hotel and to ensure the individuals safety and comfort at all times._ _To ensure the expected high standards of customer services, health & safety, cleanliness and hygiene is maintained in the restaurant as a whole._

**Main tasks and duties**
- To ensure smooth operational procedures within the restaurant;
- To plan, organise, delegate and overall directing of the department;
- To maintain and adhere to the company’s health and safety policies;
- To ensure hygiene standards are maintained to hotel standards;
- To promote and sell the hotel and its products with a friendly and helpful manner;
- To ensure positive customer care by all staff;
- To deal and handle with customer complaints and requests;
- To set up the restaurant as required by bookings/residents;
- To ensure the effective management of residents room accounts and administration;
- To ensure the customer needs are met at every opportunity;
- To control and co-ordinate the staff as and when required to serve the food;
- To maintain a high standard of personal hygiene and appearance;
- To promote equal opportunities and cultural diversity;
- To ensure effective communication within the restaurant department and peers;
- To ensure that due care is taken for the health and safety of yourself, other employees and any other persons on the premises;
- Report and where appropriate take action on any incident, accident, fire, loss or damage;
- To ensure and actively encourage staff training and development to improve performance moral;
- To implement all policies and procedures as devised by management;
- To order and maintain adequate stocks of all, chemicals and ancillary items in the restaurant and rotate stock when required;
- To order, check and accept deliveries of goods and equipment as necessary;
- To coach and supervise all food staff to the adequate level as set by management for food and beverage service;
- To ensure adequate cover at all times in line wit hotel targets and goals;
- To report all maintenance issues and take appropriate action;
- To attend departmental meetings for monthly reports;
- Any other duties and responsibilities as requested by management.
