Operations Volunteer Coordinator / Volunteering Service Delivery Officer who has previous experience of working with and coordinating volunteers with good administrative, communication and organisational skills is required to join our team at Guide Dogs.

**SALARY**: £20,599 - £23,173 per annum + Excellent Benefits

JOB OVERVIEW

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for an Operations Volunteer Coordinator / Volunteering Service Delivery Officer who has previous experience of working with and coordinating volunteers with good administrative, communication and organisational skills.

Working as the Operations Volunteer Coordinator / Volunteering Service Delivery Officer you will coordinate and oversee the volunteering programmes, across a number of different services whilst coordinating the volunteers working in operational service delivery.

As the Operations Volunteer Coordinator / Volunteering Service Delivery Officer you will ensure all the dogs and customers receive the care and support required from the operational volunteer roles - without whom none of these services would be possible.

DUTIES

As the Operations Volunteer Coordinator / Volunteering Service Delivery Officer your duties will include:
Coordinate and oversee the volunteering programmes across the range of canine, children and adults services

Work closely with Operations Managers and delivery colleagues to make suitable and sustainable plans for volunteering programmes

Provide information to local volunteering staff that enables them to plan for and focus targeted volunteer recruitment activities

Inform and support production of advertising campaigns required to attract potential volunteer opportunities in line with guidance

Work with potential volunteers for operational roles ensuring they have a positive and timely experience

Ensure that databases are kept up to date with accurate information and data

Coordinate and plan with technical colleagues for essential technical training inputs and opportunities for continuous training/learning

Support the development of new lead and key volunteer opportunities that could support the growth of operational services

Monitor and evaluate the volunteer journey and experience within Operations volunteering programmes

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

Essential

GCSEs in Maths and English at grade C or above, or equivalent qualifications OR extensive work experience that demonstrates the ability to undertake the requirements of the role

Previous experience of working with and co-ordinating volunteers

Experience of working with people in a customer-service related field

Experience working with CRM databases and maintaining accurate records

Competent computer skills, word, excel, outlook

Competent in using databases

Eligibility to work in the UK

Desirable

Previous recruitment experience of volunteers

Experience of coordinating/delivering training programmes

Evidence of involvement/interest in animals, particularly dogs

Knowledge of the charity sector and Guide Dogs as a charity

Knowledge of safeguarding practices including safer recruitment
