The Rehabilitation Coordinator (RC) plays a key role in the co-ordination of the rehabilitation needs of all trauma patients admitted to the Major Trauma Centre (MTC) at UHNM. The RC will have knowledge of multi-professional team working and assist with bringing together the relevant health and social services professionals to deliver care to the patient. He/she will have knowledge of the contribution of the disciplines involved, to ensure an effective and realistic plan for future rehabilitation can be developed. The RC will liaise and co-ordinate with medical staff and the wider teams as well as with rehabilitation facilities locally and those out of area.
