Project Support Officer

£15,000-£22,500 per annum dependant on experience

Monday to Friday, 9am - 5pm

This role is almost entirely based within the Orbital office premises. Occasional visits to the client office locations may be required.

This role reports to the Project Delivery Manager.

**Primary duties**
- Responsible for the control and logging of all incoming and outgoing project documentation, including design drawing packs, design modifications, change control requests, BOMs, CEs, resource plan sheets etc.
- Co-ordinate the compilation of project-related documentation in a timely manner
- Perform project related administrative tasks such as photocopying / binding / filing as directed by the Project Manager / Engineer.
- Raise Purchase Order requests in accordance with correct purchasing procedure / as directed by Project Manager / Engineer
- Participate in specific project and client meetings when requested and take minutes of meeting.
- Take messages / handle all incoming telephone calls in relation to company business but most specifically in relation to the project(s) which you are supporting.
- Act as the project point of contact for travel / accommodation requests within your project(s)

Co-ordinate the compilation of project-related documentation in a timely manner

**Secondary duties**
- Provide temporary cover for reception / other administrative positions, taking phone calls, ordering lunches and greeting visitors when required.
- Perform any other ad-hoc duties within skillset
- Compile all project monthly reports and dispatch in a timely manner.

- Set up and maintain filing systems
- Assisting Project Managers / Project Engineers with project reports

**Essential skills**
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Previous Administration-related experience in an office environment
- Desire to Progress
- Ability to prioritise workload and set deadlines.
- Ability to work within given deadlines as part of a team or individually.
- Can-do attitude
- Proactive

**Desirable skills**
- NVQ Level 3 in Business Administration.
- Basic understanding of PDF software such as Adobe Acrobat.
- Previous experience working with document control
- General knowledge / understanding of key engineering document types from GAs, design specifications, bill of materials, change requests etc.
