Would you like to work within the procurement team at BAE Submarines? We currently have a vacancy for a Procurement Professional at our site in Barrow.

As a Procurement Professional, you will be providing strategic outsourcing support for the Dreadnought build programme. This outsourced work is carried out at suppliers in the North East for structures that will be placed within the submarines.

This role will provide you with exposure to all major teams across the business. You will predominantly be working alongside the Project & Engineering teams when carrying out planning & spend management.

**Your main responsibilities as a Procurement Professional will involve**:
Managing established contracts & potentially sourcing new contracts

Stakeholder management at all levels

Management of changes in the existing contracts

Spend commitment profiling for report into the business

Liaising with project teams & engineers

**Your skills and qualifications**:
**Essential**:
Proven contract management skills and experience

Stakeholder management experience

**Desirable**:
MCIPS or working towards

Teamcentre experience

Proficient with Excel

Experience of working on a defence project/contract

Strong communications skills with the ability to work as part of a team at pace, be professional within the procurement field and be flexible at all points of the procurement lifecycle.

**Location**: Barrow - regular travel to the North East
