As a Service Assistant you'll work in Visitor Reception, helping the Welcome Team deliver high-quality customer service.

**Salary**: £3,150 per annum this is £10.50 per hour

**Contract/duration**:Permanent

**Hours/working pattern/hours**: This role is based on annualised hours, where the amount of hours you work each month may vary, however your salary will be paid in 12 equal instalments over the year. You'll work 300 hours across the year. The actual working pattern will predominantly be one weekend day 10am to 3pm during term time plus an extra day 10am-3pm during school holidays. Shifts will be 10am to 2pm in winter months.

What it's like to work here:Reporting to the Welcome & Service Assistant Manager, you’ll be part of a team of 8+ staff and volunteers working at Gibside, part of the Derwent, Wear & Coast portfolio.

What you'll be doing:Service Assistants play an important role in supporting the Welcome Team team in greeting and helping our visitors. No two days are the same and you can expect to meet lots of different people. Most importantly you’ll talk to visitors, answering any questions they have to make sure they can find everything they need for their visit. You will help us to promote our fundraising offer and relevant products. This role would suit anyone with a passion for delivering great customer service and a keen interest in learning about visitor operations.
