**Who we are**:
Citizens in Policing works to support the integration of volunteers into the West Midlands Police family. Based in Lloyd House, we oversee volunteers in the special constabulary, the cadet scheme, police support volunteers and active citizens. We are guiding the force in how we best recruit, retain and reward volunteers within the organisation.

**Why we need your help**:
We are a team that champions volunteers within the organisation, therefore we are asking for the support of a volunteer(s) to aid the team going forward. We would immensely value the support and guidance of a volunteer to help us learn more about our volunteers’ experiences within the organisation. As the volunteer within our team, you would help us raise the profile of volunteering within the force and help bring communities together.

**We are looking for a team of enthusiastic volunteers to assist us with conducting telephone exit interviews for previous volunteers by**:

- Conducting exit interviews to gain insight into their volunteering journey and their service delivery
- You will be aiming to gain feedback and provide an open opportunity for them to share their experiences
- Aim to highlight any fairness, management issues or professional developmental needs that may need to addressed
- Assist with the administrative duties around exit interviews and collating the results/data for report functions

**Skills and Experience**:

- Good communications skills & a good level of written and spoken English
- Conversational skills, including asking follow
- up or exploratory questions
- Reliable with good time-keeping skills for arranging suitable phone interview times
- Ability to control emotions
- Friendly and open demeanour
- Ability to go off
- script and be colloquial
- Ensure there is no judgement, any form of bias or personal prejudice
- Attention to detail and good observational skills
- Administration skills (Microsoft Office, Internet)

**Hours**:
Your working hours will be roughly 4 hours a week. Time and date to be agreed with the department supporting the volunteer.

**Vetting**:
Successful applicants will be required to pass police vetting
