**Complete Classroom Services** are looking for a Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO) to lead a Secondary Schools successful and innovative SEND department.

The School we are working with is a Catholic school who ensure every individual achieves their potential. They are based in Greenwich and it is a large OUTSTANDING OFSTED rated school. It is diverse and a community led school. They are committed to creating an environment for all pupils and staff to thrive in and feel valued.

**Responsibilities**:

- Lead the strategic development of SEND policy and provision.
- Support all staff in understanding the needs of SEND pupils and develop effective ways of bridging barriers to learning.
- Monitor the progress of pupils with SEND and evaluate the effectiveness of their learning.
- Liaise with staff, parents, external agencies and other schools to co-ordinate their contribution to provide maximum support and continuity of provision.
- Lead the team of specialist teachers and teaching assistants as appropriate.
- Ensure that school systems are implemented consistently within the department.

**Requirements**:

- QTS
- Evidence of effective teaching and learning practice
- Knowledge of current development relating to SEND
- Ability to organise and co-ordinate provision effectively across the school
- Required to complete vetting to work within a school setting essential.
