Student Casework Systems Lead

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Student Case Management project as a Student Casework Systems Lead for the Student and Education Services Division. The Student Case Management Project aims to deliver a whole university approach to student case management and introduce a system which enables more effective information sharing across academic departments, colleges, facilities (Accommodation) parts of Student and Education Services (including for example student conduct/discipline) and other professional services teams. The Student Casework Systems Lead will work with the cross-disciplinary Project Team to lead activity on behalf of Student and Education Services (SES), coordinating engagement with all key stakeholders and representing their user needs. The role includes the identification and prioritisation of user and system requirements and supporting the procurement and implementation (including staff training) of a new case management system and the associated changes required to processes and procedures across the institution.
The Student Casework Systems Lead will act as the principal lead for Student and Education Services on the project team working closely with the Project Sponsor, Senior Business Owner(s) and the Business Analyst, understanding and accurately interpreting business need, driving change and delivering a stream-lined and effective system and associated processes for managing student casework and sharing information on student needs across the University in a safe and legally compliant manner.
The Student Casework Systems Lead will collaborate closely with departments, faculties, colleges and central professional services, and will use emotional intelligence to quickly establish productive working relationships, facilitating co-design and engagement of stakeholders from all areas of the University, and working with those stakeholders to identify business needs, design and implement new systems and processes, identify barriers and find solutions.
We are looking for an innovative individual with exceptional leadership and organisational skills, experience of successfully leading and delivering change projects within a complex organisation and an enthusiasm for digitising and improving systems and processes.
This post is offered on a fixed-term basis at 0.5 FTE for 24 months, and would be an excellent developmental secondment opportunity for existing employees.
