Main duties and responsibilities

An interesting opportunity for a learning enthusiast to shape exceptional tutor and student journeys at our high-growth, socially-minded education company.

**About the role**:

- Location: Oxford
- Start: March 2024
- Reports to: Academic Executive
- Working pattern: Permanent Full Time
- Salary: £25,000 - £27,000
- Planning - Liaising within and beyond the Academic team on logistics for around 3000 students in 600 classes taught by around 250 tutors across all our locations.
- Tutor liaison - Prompt and professional communication with a personal touch across our diverse tutor network. Setting expectations, providing support and escalating queries as appropriate.
- Resource creation and management - Potential involvement with tutor guidance and resources for students depending on interests and experience.
- Course management - First point of contact during courses. Troubleshooting, providing support, observing classes and escalating issues when required.
- Record keeping - Following established and new processes to maintain records in line with safeguarding, employment and quality assurance processes.

**About you**:

- You’re a curious individual with high standards who recognises the impact of excellent teaching
- You’re able to work systematically and logically, considering the consequences of your approach and adjusting it based on the information available
- You’re able to identify problems when they’re still small and explore solutions calmly, practically and collaboratively
- You rely on a combination of instinct, experience, and learning from others
- You can deal with small details without losing sight of the bigger picture
- You’re comfortable within a small team, as well as liaising more widely

**Essential**:

- Transferable experience in tutoring, teaching, coaching, training, or similar
- Clear evidence of strong task management, prioritisation and record keeping
- Diplomatic written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to clearly set expectations and hold others to account
- Proficiency with tools such as those in Google Workspace

**Desirable**:

- Good knowledge of Oxbridge-style tutorial teaching
- Experience working in an educational company or institution
- Familiarity with a CRM such as Salesforce or another database tool
