**Job description**:
PA responsibilities and duties include (but are not limited to):

- diary management, with a significant emphasis on electronic diaries (Microsoft Outlook)
- co-ordinating travel arrangements, both domestic and international.
- administrative and secretarial support for individual Justices and the judicial support team.
- coordinating visits by guests of Justices and/or the Court to a high degree of professionalism.
- provide a first-class service to the justices and the administration of the Court by building strong relationships with the Chief Executive Officer, the senior management team, and the wider organisation.

The PA will also have the opportunity to do the following:

- Support their manager and Senior Governance and Business Manager to support the corporate governance on the administration of the UKSC.
- Cover for minute writing for Boards and Sub-Committees and assist the team in preparing for these meetings.
- Provide support in ad hoc requests and other tasks for their manager, Senior Governance and Business Manager, and colleagues across the organisation.

**Person specification**:
Essential criteria:

- Excellent communication skills with exceptional written and verbal skills - ability to communicate clearly and effectively with others and influence positive changes.
- Excellent organisational skills necessary to manage the smooth running of the Justices’ diaries and to carry out a range tasks to support the justices and the UKSC. Previous diary experience required.
- Good IT skills, and proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite of software particularly Word & Outlook.
- Experience of providing support to judges or senior officials in a legal environment, senior civil servants or Ministers or team in a business support function.
- Adaptable and willing to review priorities with senior managers to meet the current and future needs of the Court.
- Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships internally and externally.

Desirable criteria:

- Knowledge of the UK court system, The UKSC, and the legal profession.
- An understanding of GDPR.
- Experience of taking minutes or notes of meetings and sharing those minutes with colleagues or stakeholders.
