Our Turning Point Scotland Services in Shine Womens Mentoring Service are looking for people like you to help provide individualised support to adults with a wide range of needs, either on an individual 1:1 basis or alongside others and as part of a team.
An exciting opportunity has arisen within our SHINE mentoring service, which is managed by TPS 218 service.
**Due to the nature of this post, there will be significant travel involved therefore a driving licence and access to own vehicle is essential for this post.**
SHINE is a national mentoring service for women involved within the justice service across Scotland.
The service is a Public Social Partnership (PSP) a strategic partnership between public and voluntary sector organisations, Sacro is the lead partner. SHINE was launched in April 2013 to support women serving short term sentences, on remand or with a community payback order (CPO) or a drug treatment and testing order (DTTO)
Mentoring is a way of helping and supporting woman to achieve their goals. The service provides women with a mentor who will provide 1-2-1 individual support to enable her to engage in her justice order and for her to move forward within her recovery.
The support we provide is always person centred, we do this by involving people who know the person well, this includes family and friends, other health and Social Work professionals, Advocacy services and our own staff members.
As a Lead Practitioner, you will work with individuals who have a wide range of support needs, providing them with practical and emotional support and encouraging them to achieve their own personal outcomes in all aspects of their daily lives e.g. keeping safe, meaningful activities, community involvement, physical health, relationships, emotional health and wellbeing.
