**Job summary**:
Defence Primary Healthcare (DPHC) is looking for a well-organised and enthusiastic AA Medical Administrative Assistant to join our busy and friendly team of dedicated healthcare professionals and support staff located here at the Regional Medical Centre Royal Air Force Marham. This may involve travelling to and working at other DPHC facilities within the Lincs network if required by business needs.

DPHC is a vibrant and fast-moving organisation that seeks to provide the very best primary healthcare to our entitled personnel

Please note this vacancy is advertised at 37 hours per week. Requests to work flexibly and/or part time will be considered, taking into account business needs. Please note the salary will be pro-rata where part time hours are undertaken.

**Job description**:
As the successful post holder you will work as a member of the Defence Primary Healthcare (DPHC) team, which will provide a comprehensive, efficient and effective service in accordance with Ministry of Defence (MOD) and DPHC policies and procedures.

You will have a major impact in promoting a positive image of the Medical Centre to patients and other users, so must maintain an appropriate and professional standard of appearance, attitude and confidentiality.

**Person specification**:
Duties and responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:

- Opening up/locking-up of Practice premises and maintaining security in accordance with Practice protocols.
- Maintaining and monitoring the Practice appointments system.
- Processing personal and telephone requests for appointments, visits and telephone consultations and ensuring callers are directed to the appropriate healthcare professional.
- Processing and distributing incoming and outgoing mail.
