We have an exciting opportunity for **Financial Crime Investigators** to join our team in Manchester, to investigate potential fraudulent and money laundering incidents, suspicions and alerts across multiple business and product lines, taking appropriate action in order to prevent criminal funds being laundered through the Bank.

**The role of Financial Crime Investigator is really important to us. You will be responsible for**:
Review and investigate potential Fraud & AML for Mortgage, Asset Finance, Invoice Finance & Business Savings customers ensuring FC concerns are reviewed and escalated appropriately.

Liaise with the relevant business line servicing teams to request additional information on any identified concerns to either confirm or mitigate suspicions.

Accurately raise and where required, investigate money laundering referrals (Suspicious Activity Reports) from the relevant business lines & refer outcomes of SAR investigations to the banks Nominated Officer prior to disclosure to the relevant authorities. (NCA)

Liaise and respond to law enforcement requests in a timely manner ensuring all relevant information is provided and GDPR adhered to investigate for any suspicious activity as required on the back of requests for information to limit risk to the bank.

Maintain accurate records of each investigation, outcome adhering to Bank policies and procedures.

Work within the Money Laundering framework particularly with respect to tipping off and failure to report.

Respond to ad-hoc queries providing guidance to business lines, working to improve front line financial crime awareness policies and promote best practice to the business lines in relation to Financial Crime procedures by attending regular meetings, presenting guidance packs and working closely with the 2nd line FC team in ensuring group policy is adhered too.

Work closely with the Senior Investigators, Quality Assurance Specialist & Operations Manager to ensure the team achieve their SLA’s and limit Financial Crime by escalating risks and any concerns in a timely manner
