A leading Independent Criminal Defence Practice, located in South Manchester, just outside the city centre is currently seeking an experienced Paralegal to join their small team.

**Responsibilities**:

- Managing a caseload of files and overseeing file management.
- Preparing client letters and drafting statements.
- Creating briefs for counsel.
- Communicating with clients in person and over the telephone.
- Instructing experts and preparing briefs for counsel.
- Managing payments and financial matters.
- Providing support and advice to clients.
- Handling general legal administration and associated duties.
- Demonstrates excellent communication skills and the ability to explain complex matters in clear and accessible language.
- Works effectively as part of a team and independently with own initiative.
- Highly organised and able to perform well under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
- Personable, professional, and focused on client needs.
- Methodical in their approach to tasks.
