What part do we play? Strategy and Transformation Function

Strategy & Transformation function provides the strategic direction and oversight of the Digital, Data and Technology directorate, ensuring it runs well and we do what we said we would do in delivering against our strategy and plans.

We develop, orchestrate, and manage the 5-year strategic business plan for DDaT - that’s a huge investment in technology and services, providing the governance oversight to ensure that we run an effective, efficient, and safe business environment for our people. We develop the long-term people capability, ensuring our employees are supported with the necessary training and development to support their career journeys and the ever-changing needs of our business.

We are pivotal in supporting the directorate with guidance in making decisions and holding ourselves accountable to delivering against our commitments. To act as Network Rail’s Digital Data & Technology key contact for strategic liaison with regions and other stakeholders, leading and developing relationships to enable Digital Data & Technology to deliver capabilities to customers, aligned to the business strategy.

Main Responsibilities
Your role will need you to be engaged and supporting our customers in both Routes, Regions and National functions, providing business partnering, customer service experience and strategic business plan management capabilities.

**What will you be doing? (in a summary) - Reporting into Director, Strategy and Transformation**
- You will be directing, owing, and developing the engagement strategy for Digital Data & Technology relationships with our Routes, Regions, and National Functions
- Leading on the relationship engagement, providing our customers what they need to deliver against their own business strategies and promoting the DDaT capabilities and informing them of products and services.
- You will collaboratively work with your customers to develop and embed an engagement framework for Digital Data & Technology and be link between our customer and DDaT.
- You will be expected to understand your customers and ensure we are communicating, engaging, and adding value - managing any issues, performance, delivery plan and forthcoming initiatives.
- You will provide advisory services to lead and direct the creation and definition of strategic proposals, business case opportunities and partnering arrangements in a compliant manner to maximise value and with the Digital Data & Technology Senior Leadership Team to ensure seamless service.
- This is a strategic role and you will be leading on the negotiation of strategic high value complex contracts that exploit Digital Data & Technology services and coordinating input from internal teams to achieve the strategy, and influencing and liaising with other national programmes to maintain consistency in approach.
- You will lead a team to support Digital Data & Technology us in driving continual service improvement, efficiency, and sustainability with our customers.
- In addition to supporting us in delivering a Digital Data & Technology Customer strategy, creating a governance and evaluation value framework, working with internal and external stakeholders to deliver the service strategy within the business.

You will need to be able to demonstrate.
- Extensive successful experience in a customer experience management and / or business development management role in Digital, Data and Technology ( both IT and Telecoms)
- Strong commercial and business case focus and financially astute
- Significant experience in managing senior stakeholder relations in the telecoms industry.
- Proven influencing, persuasion and negotiating skills at all levels across the org
