**Job Title: Customs Compliance Coordinator**
**Location: Blackwood**
**Salary: £30,000 to £35,000 per annum, dependent on experience.**

**Hours:Full time permanent Monday to Friday 37½ hours per week.**
Here at The Recruitment Co. we are recruiting a **Customs Compliance Coordinator** to work for a client of ours based in Blackwood.
A position has become available for a Customs Compliance Coordinator to support the shipping team. This is a full time monthly salaried position based within the facility in Blackwood, South Wales.
As Customs Compliance Coordinator, you will have accountability & responsibility for the following key aspects:

- Ensuring compliance with import and export regulations
- Update, maintain and ensure accuracy of customs tariff information in internal systems.
- Provide timely and accurate clearance instructions to freight forwarders to minimise delays to imports.
- Ensure accurate records of goods imported to inward processing and submit bills of discharge to HMRC in a timely fashion.
- Produce accurate records, logs and files containing import and export documents that satisfy the scrutiny of HMRC audits.
- Liaise with other departments to develop the processes and procedures required to standardise and streamline import and export procedures to support the business.
- Build team relationships with carriers and brokers to resolve issues and avoid disruption to supply chain.
- Ensure compliance to AEO standard.
- Monitor Customs legislations changes that could have a business impact.
- Support Corporate / Internal / External Audits and close out actions where appropriate.
- Any additional tasks to ensure the success of the role and support to the Business Unit

**Key skills and experience required for the Customs Compliance Coordinator role are as follows**:

- Proven experience in either a Logistics, Shipping, Import/Export or Customs
- Must be eligible to gain UK Security (SC) clearance
- Professional organised and focused approach with a high level to attention and detail.
- Good communication skills both written and oral, with the ability to work as part of a team and own initiative.
