**Who are we**

Lorax EPI is an environmental technology company of 50+ people based in Rugby, Warwickshire. Founded in 2014, our mission is to simplify the heavy burden of environmental compliance regulations, which companies find themselves facing, through innovative cloud software and consulting services.

Lorax Compliance Ltd is an equal opportunities employer.

The companies we work with are obligated to report under packaging legislation, corporate sustainability policies, plastics taxes and the Extended Producer Responsibility regulations, which make them responsible for the waste they create; this covers the products they make (electronic, batteries, têxtiles, tires), the packaging they supply it in, and the supply-chain they purchase it from. The regulations we handle are worldwide; we have an international presence both in reporting scope and customers.

**Description**

You are proactive, persevering and can understand and relay complex information to multi-level stakeholders. You have experience in a research role and are interested in a position where you can grow your skills to support a wide variety of internal and external client projects. You have a keen interest in environmental issues, particularly around waste, packaging, recyclability and producer responsibility and you have a tenacity to research complex information along with strong writing and presentation skills. You can critically read legal and technical information and are able to fact check to a high standard. You are organised and can follow company procedures to support your work on multiple projects.

The role primarily involves undertaking research into global Extended Producer responsibility legislation including, but not limited to, packaging, WEEE, batteries and têxtiles. You will need to be confident enough to develop good working relationships with external organisations such as Compliance Schemes, NGOs and Government bodies and be happy to spend a large proportion of the role in a direct research capacity to keep on top of any updates or changes to our topics of interest.
