Cromwood Housing specialise in providing housing solutions to those in housing need. This will be through long established partnership working with Local Authorities, the Home Office, and property owners.

We are looking for an experienced **Housing Officer** to manage a portfolio of approximately 150 properties in the London area. This involves undertaking all aspects of property management including initial sign up of tenants, dealing with ASB, monitoring rent arrears and liaising closely with the tenants to resolve any tenancy issues.

You will work from home and be fully supported in this way of working with a company car, tablet and mobile phone being provided

**Salary**:£32,500 per annum
**Hours**:Monday - Friday, 9.30am - 5.30pm

**Housing Officer main duties include**:

- Responsible for signing tenants up to the property, ensuring that they are aware of all aspects of the tenancy
- Undertake regular visits to the property (normally on a two-monthly basis) to deal with any tenancy related issues
- You will deal with any potential complaints received, this may include reports of anti-social behaviour, noise nuisance, property condition and environmental issues
- You will be responsible for enforcing tenancy conditions accordingly whilst working with other members of staff to ensure this is understood. You will work closely with our customers and offer advice to help promote positive behaviour
- Your role with us will be to provide an excellent level of customer service to our tenants on your patch
- Ensure tenants are claiming benefits and are aware of their rent payment requirements. This will include liaising with DWP as required
- Ensure that vulnerable residents are signposted to key agencies. Provide appropriate support in our capacity as landlord
- Enforce arrears recovery policy and procedure including proactive discussions with residents, pre-court visits and eviction attendance

**Requirements for the Housing Officer role include**:

- A proven record of housing management experience
- Experience of dealing with ASB
- Experience of dealing with rent arrears and evictions
- A valid driving licence is essential
- Good knowledge of landlord responsibilities for compliance
- Good record keeping skills
- Good communicator who can work well with partners
