**Guiding older people on their life journeys from housing to health, and enhancing their wellbeing along the way - that’s the latest role here at London-based housing charity MMHS in our 75th anniversary year.**

**We are delighted to announce this exciting new post for a Housing, Health and Wellbeing Officer. This strategic role will serve ministers from within the Methodist denomination who come to MMHS for a home in their retirement.**

**Whoever takes on this appointment will have highly developed interpersonal and problem-solving skills, and will have studied and worked within the caring and charitable sectors.**

The Methodist Ministers’ Housing Society provides housing for retiring Methodist presbyters and deacons. We also provide housing for their widowed partners and for ministers retiring on health grounds.

Our vision inspires us to meet the housing needs of retired Methodist ministers of limited means, and their spouses, and their widows and widowers. We also offer support for their wellbeing in the key areas of mobility and independence.

We are excited to advertise a new role within Methodist Ministers Housing Society (MMHS), the Housing, Health and Wellbeing Officer will be responsible for:

- Dealing with transfer requests and moving on to non-general housing or into a care home.
- To support our ministerial residents with needs linked to age, ill-health, disability and financial matters, with a particular focus on enabling them to live independently in their own homes for as long as possible.
- To provide a signposting service to state benefits, grants and local and nationally available services

The role is Part Time, three days per week, office based (London), with occassional travel.
