We run support groups for people impacted by borderline personality disorder, this includes friends, family and carers. The groups are a safe supportive space to help people get support from others who truly understand what they are going through. By leading our support groups, you'll help people affected by BPD to draw on invaluable support from their peers.

As a support group volunteer, you will help with the running of the group. The groups are run weekly and last 75 minutes. We are recruiting support group facilitators who can commit to a minimum of 6 months to run the group face to face. Full training will be provided.

**About the role**
- Act as a contact in your local area for Borderline Support UK CIC
- Arrange the programme of activities
- Organise venue booking and refreshments
- Work with the volunteer team to ensure the group runs in line with our guidelines

**About you**

We are looking for people who are:

- Compassionate and empathetic
- Able to share their experiences in supporting others
- A people person, with good listening skills
- A great communicator who enjoys meeting new people
- Good at putting people at ease
- Reliable and organised
- Passionate about supporting people affected by BPD
- IT literate and have good administrative and record keeping skills

**Please note, you must be over 18 and have the right to live and work in the UK to be considered for this role. A DBS check and 2 references are required as part of the recruitment process. As you will be dealing with sensitive personal data, you will be required to undergo additional data protection training and sign a confidentiality agreement.**
