* Support the Group Financial Controller and Head of Group Reporting with the production of consolidated group financial information for the year end and half-year accounts and content for analyst presentations.
- Support the preparation of the monthly management reporting and associated commentary for the main Group Board, Senior Management and Operations board, including ongoing development to ensure reporting is aligned to business priorities.
- Assist with planning for and execution of year end and interim close process.
- Liaise with external auditors for full year and half year accounts and for ARLA reporting.
- Responsible for monthly consolidation and close process.
- Assist the process of reviewing and challenging income statement and balance sheet numbers and key financial performance indicators.
- Responsibility for maintenance of financial reporting systems.
- Development of reporting in reporting systems to support business strategy and performance.
- Provision of technical accounting guidance and supporting papers for use within the Group.
- Key point of contact for external auditors.
Qualifications and Experience:

- Qualified accountant - ACA preferred or equivalent qualifications with proven strong technical knowledge.
- Accounting and financial reporting experience in Group finance function or in practice.
- Demonstrable technical accounting experience.
- Ability to maintain and improve strong and efficient financial controls and governance.
- Able to communicate internally and externally at all levels, both verbally and in writing.
- Excellent time management and organisational skills, ability to adopt a flexible approach and work within tight timescales.
- Strong stakeholder management skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail with strong desire to provide accurate and timely information that is right-first-time.
- Demonstrable experience of working in an environment of significant business change.
- Ability to analyse and manipulate data and extract data from the company's main software systems.
