We now have a new opportunity for an HR Advisor to join on a full time, permanent basis at our Spalding depot.

Working hours: Monday to Friday, 8.30-17.30

**Job Description**:
To deliver a seamless and efficient operational service to all areas of the business, through the provision of effective first line advice and guidance to the people managers. Ensuring that issues are managed fairly and consistent, in line with Company process, legislation and good practice to support the business to be an employer of choice.

**Key Duties of an HR Advisor**:

- Provide an advisory service to the business on HR casework ensuring that it is efficient and applied with consistency, in the interests of fairness and to mitigate risks and escalating high risk cases.
- Support with all Recruitment activities including the production of Job Descriptions, Person Specifications and arranging job evaluations and job grading via Group.
- Participate in Selection activities, liaising with the Group Resourcing Team regarding interviews and the FW HR Analyst to arrange SHL assessments and supporting line managers as needed.
- Maintain and continuously review the Company Induction process, ensuring that all colleagues experience a good on-boarding process.
- Ensure that variations to terms and conditions are made in accordance with current rules and practices and that correspondence is issued accurately and timely
- Liaise with Occupational Health for long term sickness and management referral cases, conducting home visits where necessary
- Update the HR information system in a timely manner with all casework documents therefore ensuring MI data is up to date at all times.
- Support and provide resource for the implementation of business change and TUPE transfers when necessary
- Liaise with line managers across area of responsibility to support the identification of individual training and learning requirements, whilst being the point of contact with the Culina L&D team to ensure the development takes place.
- Support the production and delivery of PET Plans for Spalding.
- Work across the HR Operations Team to ensure the delivery of all Colleague Engagement Plans, working with the Benefits and Charity Champions to upskill them to support the Depot.
- Contribute to the review of people related processes and make recommendations for improvements
- Support the HR Team to deliver the wellbeing agenda across the business
- Delivering HR related training to colleagues, ensuring they have the information and skills to carry out their role successfully
- Support the delivery of specific one-off projects to support the HR Strategic Plan

**Qualifications**:
We're looking for someone who is adaptable and flexible in their approach, with the ability to multi-task and juggle a number of priorities. You should be confident in providing HR advice, with a good, working understanding of HR policies/ procedures and a sound knowledge of UK employment legislation so you can really hit the ground running.

A positive, can-do approach really is essential for this role, as is the ability to communicate and build strong relationships at all levels.
- A sound knowledge of HR policies, procedures and best practice.
- An up to date, working knowledge of UK employment legislation.
- Proven experience in advising on a variety of HR matters (such as grievance, disciplinary, performance management, absence etc.).
- Experience of proactively working with people related data.
- Experience of working in a fast-paced, changing environment.
- Confident approach, with the ability to challenge information.
- Effective communicator at all levels, with the ability to forge strong relationships.
- Logical thinker and can recognise how situations may be impacted by another.
- Excellent IT skills including all MS Office packages and experience using a HR system.
- Having or working towards a CIPD qualification is highly diserable
- Full UK Driving Licence and willing to travel to other sites when required.
