We’re looking for a resilient and proactive **Payroll and Reward Specialist on a 12-Month Fixed Term Contract** to join our People Services team at National Grid.

As a Payroll and Reward Specialist you will be a primary point of contact for a variety of payroll activities and be a contact for complex issues and queries. Displaying your ability to collaborate with colleagues, you’ll liaise with our Offshore and Onshore Team. You will also provide support to both the Payroll Manager and Payroll Assistant Manager to identify process and system improvements as well as upskill the existing payroll team, including coaching and sharing knowledge.

You’ll be an experienced payroller, who has had exposure to high volume payrolls with multiple T&Cs. You will be accustomed to dealing with a range of flexible benefits and have good working knowledge of salary sacrifice and payrolling of benefits.

You will be involved with user acceptance testing for payroll configuration changes and comfortable in challenging ways of working to increase efficiency, eliminate unnecessary complexity and reduce the time spent carrying out business activities.

The role is a full time fixed term contract of 12-months, that is based in Warwick. We offer hybrid working of one to two days in the office, to provide flexibility within your working hours.

**About You**:
You’ll bring with you, your extensive payroll experience and understanding of payroll processes. You have experience or knowledge of payroll implementations as well as P11d/PSA processing/Payrolling benefits, End of Year processes and RTI, including FPS & EPS. You’ve had exposure to Defined Benefit/Defined Contributions pensions and have knowledge of long term and short-term incentive plans. You’ve coached and mentored team members and seek to drive continuous improvement activities. You’re a system thinker, you like to understand the whole picture and have strong organisation and prioritisation skills. SAP ECC experience as well as a Chartered Institute of Payroll Professionals (CIPP) is desirable but not essential.

Circa £45,000 per annum - dependent on experience.
