1. To handle all enquiries into the Hotel concerning Conference & Banqueting / Weddings facilities and conduct show-arounds.

2. To promote and sell Calendar of Events, Weddings and Christmas events.

3. To ensure that a Calendar of Events, Wedding and Christmas diary are in place at required time and operated efficiently.

4. To ensure that all bookings are confirmed / contracted as per standard requirement.

5. To liase with Reservations with regards to the selling of meeting rooms and accommodation.

6. To take payments for special events and other functions and record as per Hotel / Company standard.

7. To operate an accurate chase system.

8. To ensure all entertainment is sourced and pre-arranged for each event.

9. To ensure that all table plans / place cards / final payments are chased and received by due date.

10. To produce a detailed Function sheet for each event.

11. To produce flyers / posters to promote events.

12. To ensure that all relevant database files are accurate and up to date at all times.

13. To ensure menus and any other printed literature are prepared for all events.

14. To pre-plan and organise themed room décor for each event in liaison with the F&B team throughout.

15. To meet and greet at each event or liase with colleagues to ensure duty can be shared.

16. To assist in compilation of Christmas and Calendar of Events brochures - planning well in advance.

17. To ensure that the display showcase is used to promote events to its full potential.

18. To be aware of the Hotel as a product and all the services that can be offered to the public.

19. To be fully conversed with all aspects of Conference and Wedding system.

20. To input reservations when required as per the Reservationist

21. To assist with ideas for new promotions.

22. To participate in Client events / entertaining as and when required.

23. To be aware of all other Sales Office functions in place and to assist as and when required.

24. To adhere to COSHH and Health & Safety Regulations to ensure the safety of yourself and others.

To attend all training sessions as arranged by your Departmental Head of Personnel Department.

**Job Type**: Permanent

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Weekend availability

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Ilkley, LS29 8RQ: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Event Management: 1 year (preferred)
