Website Administrator and E-commerce Executive

An exciting opportunity has arisen for the position of Website Administrator and E-Commerce Executive in a busy and forward-thinking retail jeweller.
Wongs Jewellers are a fine jewellery retailer specialising in bridal jewellery. Founded in 1979, the company has celebrated over 40 years in business in our hometown of Liverpool. One of our major strengths is our onsite workshop which manufactures bespoke pieces of jewellery for our discerning client base.
Our aim is to make buying a piece of jewellery a fun and exciting experience and to be known as ‘Where Liverpool Gets Engaged’.
We provide a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere within our bricks and mortar store and convey this through our website, PR and online marketing channels.
**Website Administration**:
This part of the role will involve maintaining our website, ensuring it's always up-to-date and user-friendly. Troubleshoot any technical issues and improve the website's performance. Implement SEO strategies to drive organic traffic.
**E-Commerce Management**:
You will manage our Shopify based online store, overseeing product listings, pricing and inventory. Optimise the user experience for easy navigation and a seamless shopping process. Collaborate with the marketing team to promote special offers and new collections.
**Digital Marketing**:
Assist in the execution of digital marketing campaigns to drive online sales. Monitor and analyse website and e-commerce performance, making data-driven improvements.
- Experience of using the Shopify e-commerce platform.
- Knowledge of CMS systems such as HubSpot.
- Proficiency in SEO and digital marketing
- Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to prioritise in a changing environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills and follow up skills.
- Proactive problem prevention and issue resolution leadership ability
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Google Docs as required.
- Knowledge of Photoshop is preferred.
- The ability to create content that can be used across all platforms including banners, gifs, blogs etc
- A creative forward-thinking approach to content creation.
- Knowledge of social media channels including but not limited to Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.
- Be driven to grow the company’s social media presence across other channels such as YouTube, Pinterest, Google etc.
- Ability to learn other software programs.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills required.
- A passion for jewellery and an understanding of the industry
- Ability to work independently and as a part of a team.
- Be fun and fashion conscious.
- Possess excellent presentation skills.
- Ability to remain calm and deliver work to tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills across all media.
- Weekly analysis of website sales performance with action plan in place.
