This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic and growing team at Tower Hamlets Shared Lives Scheme, where we are passionate about empowering vulnerable adults to take control of their lives, pursue ordinary lives within their chosen families and communities, and make positive contributions valued by their communities. We provide long-term, respite, and day support to adults with learning disabilities, all within the ordinary homes of our dedicated Shared Lives carers, right in their local communities.

As a Shared Lives (SL) Project Officer, you will play a pivotal role in providing essential project and administrative support to the Tower Hamlets Shared Lives Scheme. You will be a key part of a passionate team that supports our mission to enhance the lives of vulnerable adults in our community

Your responsibilities will encompass conducting auditing, feedback, and quality assurance procedures to uphold regulatory standards and ensure compliance. You will be tasked with efficiently managing database systems while maintaining, updating, and reviewing SL Policy and Procedures. Additionally, you'll provide administrative coordination for various initiatives, including the SL Independent Panel, SL scheme training program, and SL Carers group, all aimed at fostering growth and community engagement.

Tower Hamlets Shared Lives is part of a national network of Shared Lives schemes and, as part of the team, you will play a vital role in expanding the service in Tower Hamlets by promoting the scheme and successfully increasing the number of Shared Lives carers. Whilst previous working in Shared Lives is not essential, knowledge of the service would be beneficial. This is a permanent full time post.

Tower Hamlets Shared Lives is registered with CQC and you will be working directly with individuals with a range of complex and profound learning disabilities and other support needs. This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act and will require an Enhanced DBS.
