Hours: 37 hours per week

Location: Littlecombe/Ebley Mill

Job Purpose: To provide customer service and clerical support

Responsible to: Business Support Manager

Responsible for: No supervisory responsibility

KEY DUTIES
- To communicate with Council customers (commercial tenants, licence holders, contractors, internal customers) by phone, letter or face-to-face.
- To provide assistance in office administration - filing and photocopying.
- To provide support to the service by typing/word processing letters.
- Assisting with data management.
- Taking telephone messages and/or dealing with telephone calls.
- To provide assistance in organising meetings.
- Undertake such other duties commensurate with the grade of post as may be properly assigned by the Head of Service.

Work where tasks are interchanged but the programme of tasks is not normally interrupted.

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
- Good general education
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience of working with the public.
- IT Literate.
- Basic numeracy skills

COMPLEXITY AND CREATIVITY
- Responds to queries and complaints
- Fresh ideas to continuously improve service delivery welcomed

Work with guidance and within set procedures but with the scope to make creative suggestions for improvement to be referred to the Senior Business
Support Officer.

JUDGEMENT AND DECISIONS
- Routine decisions on aspects of work with all other decisions being referred to the Senior Business Support Officer

Work is carried out within clearly defined rules or procedures and advice is available if required.
